Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

my 98 gmc i bought 2 weeks ago, 236,000 km no rust. Had to give it a good cleaning because a farmer had it and i took off the box cover because it was shot, also took off box rails, bug defledtor, the bug screen was all pitted and fadded so i spraybombed and i think it look alright.now the 86 chevy can sit inside on rainy days

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

A buddy sent me pics of this one that's on the lot he works for. It's a '93 Suburban 2500 dually conversion. 454, auto, mint leather interior, dual moon roofs and ONLY 43,000 miles. If the price is right, I'm going to see if there's any possible way I can get my hands on this thing.

Absolutely. A stock valance would have to go on there. It also has a nice, old school center console that house a killer TV at one time. That would have to go as well. I have a nice '95-'98 console laying around.

Looks like it got sold last night before I even had a chance at it.

If I had gotten it, as much as I'd love it on the ground, it would have stayed at it's current level. It would have been used to tow my 31' travel trailer, which sits pretty high anyhow. A nice set of direct bolt-on 19.5s (not milled 19s) would have been nice, though.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Here is my latest project. It's a '94 Chev 1500 lwb, 350, fully loaded. I bought it almost a year ago. It had been very well taken care of over the years. The paint is original. It's not perfect, but very good, just right for a daily driver. Under the hood is original and very clean. This is what i have done so far: removed the front license plate bracket and installed a new bumper impact strip, all new euro headlamps and clear corners and tail lights, new GMC grille painted to match with billet insert, billet antenna, Budnik billet steering wheel, rear tinted window, new stereo with amp and two 10" subs, painted door and tailgate handles to match, painted lorider tonneau cover to match, SS mirrors painted to match, removed Chevrolet tailgate band, lowered 5.25" front and 6" rear with air over leaf, 17" Billet Specialties wheels. I'm not quite done all i plan to do, but close. Still have a few minor things i plan to change, like wheel well trims, headers and exhaust etc. Here are some before and after shots, what do ya think?

I dig it. I love the old school look with those wheels. What are those, 11" wide in the rear?

Man-o-man... My '88 is original..... your paint is the same as mine..color & scheme..... GM must have improved the paint jobs..... mine deteriorated the clear coating 10 years ago.

I've got the same paint job as you on my 88 scottsdale, paint isn't too bad, I suspect it has been reprinted at the same time because of the infamous clear coat peeling... Some think its ugly, but I love the paint combo

While I consider repainting my '88, I have looked at "nearly original" versions of my 2-tone. Same design but no pinstripe decal (clean look)..... putting the Champagne color on the lower area instead of the middle,..... also adjusting the 'gold' Champagne to a more-slightly silver shade.

I'll want to install OEM 4x4 fender skirts.
