Mike-nutt where did he cut the frame? Any pics?
Malo83 what are you painting it back to original? Both nice looking rigs.

mike nutt; speaking of his crew-swb projects, the red one pictured was a dually in the last pictures he posted. At least the front end was. Any idea about what he did for that? Also, from what I have read the 1 ton frames are quite different from the 1/2 ton frames. Curious about how he grafted the frames together for that. I guess I'll find that thread and post that question there.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
Yes it is a 74 with a later front end. I will be returning it to a 74 front and replacing the stepside with a fleetside bed.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
Here's my old truck....sold it a few years ago. Kept the 454 I built for it though! The new owner has made a few "questionable" updates.......
I miss it!

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
I would have left the visor on it. I love em.
Man that front end sure looks higher then the back, but you can follow the siding on the house and see it's not higher.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
Just got back from the track a I ran 11.90@114mph with nitrous. Spinning off the line bad. 1.79 60', I can do that on motor only. I lot better times coming soon, and I know I have to get a different camera guy.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
I guess there are no more pictures. But a lot of good looking trucks on this post. I would just like to see a lot more. I just love these body styles and the different things you do on your trucks.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
This is the 78 Stepside I bought last year. It's on the list to do after my oldest son's truck and the youngest one's Jeep. It looks really good in the pic, but it does need some work!!!
I want to restore it to clone the Chevy Sport my Mom had....... Misled |
