Re: 1957 chevy family truck
I was just going through your thread again and noticed the access door that you cut in the floor for the master cylinder. Did you weld in any additional bracing around the hole? I am considering doing the same for my truck.

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
I just got through reading this thread and your truck really came out awesome. I love the color! I've had two trucks previous to my 55 3100 and both were painted different shades of green. Just curious, I know you mentioned it was a Ford green but what color is it exactly as I'm considering doing my 55 the same color with a black two tone. Thanks in advance, John

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
Do you have any pics of what you did with exhaust routing on the driver's side? I'm working on my transmission crossmember and trying to figure out how to tuck in the exhaust so it won't hang down too low. Any issues with heat from the exhaust near the master cylinder? I'm running a similar setup to your truck with a camaro clip, 700r4 and underfloor master cylinder.
Thanks.

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
No I don't, I ran it between the tranny and master cylinder, I ended up wrapping the exhaust and making a heat shield out of thin diamond plate. I lost my brakes once after I did the wrap and shield no more issues
