Re: post up your camping pics

Excellent DSuper5! We camped right at the base of that rock formation in your first pic on our way home from our desert trip this last June. Then we drove right through Page to get home. Love the area for sure. Oh and I'd kill for a Burb like yours too.

Snow's coming in Diesel. Mind you, I watch a couple of webcams in BC (Smithers/Invermere) and still nothing on the ground really. Soon though! Fires a thing of the past already (in your neck of the woods). Hard watching the dawg slow down.....

no Billhilly, everything is still on the mountains...()...and not in my driveway...()
and ya, just like that our fire season is done...feel for the Californians right now- pretty intense what's happening
and it is very hard watching my truck riding, mountain climbing, go everywhere with, fishing buddy for 13 yrs, wind down...

Re: post up your camping pics

thanks MTCK!
hope i look as good at 91 myself...
and you can't belive HOW EXCITED i am for some paint...been waiting about 12 yrs or so to get some nice-ness on it. got 12 yrs of asst. dents and whatnot to fix first, right now it don't look too bad "across the street on the other side of town with blinders on", want to change that to across the street in front of my house with sunglasses on..
my insurance on it runs out dec 20, so i'm taking it in on the 15, i haft to stop myself from taking it apart untill then, i'll be stripping it down for my guy, and i really want to start "dis-assemble" it right now!
after blowing my paint job money earlier this yr for a quad for my son, i have managed to save up over half, and a small bank loan is taking care of the rest..

this is why we call it ghosts of the giants....was logged back in the nineteen '20's, must have been an awe inspiring sight. i guess back then "profits" outweighed "preservation for future generations"
there is still a couple of giants at the top of the valley, luckily their in a park so their off-limits to the saw...

Re: post up your camping pics

I’m so sorry for your loss! I’ve really enjoyed your pictures over the years. Dawg was obviously a great companion! I always tell myself I’m not going to get another dog because it’s so damn hard when we lose them! But, we always do. It seems like even if we’re not looking, one always finds us. I’m starting to think I live in one of those neighborhoods where people just dump them knowing they will probably find a good home.

Re: post up your camping pics

I just started taking out my latest dog last year. She's a rescue and still getting used to the off road gig. She does love being out there though. Does great off leash, comes as soon as I call her. I'm pretty sure she scared something coming near our campsite one night too. Was sitting right by me and bolted to the edge of the campsite barked out into the darkness and the next thing we heard was some rustling of stuff on the ground in the distance. Pretty cool.

My buddy Shane and his daughter with Storm zipping through between them.

Her first trip out for our annual snow run.

I got her a new light up collar for next season's camping fun. Storm is a little hard to see in the dark. I need to get her a coat too. She got pretty cold on one of our runs in the early fall.

Thanks dude! She's a mix, some cattle dog, some shepherd, don't really have it nailed down. She's pretty smart and does herd our other older dog around at times. Pretty funny to watch.

It's nice with her in the camper if it's chilly out. She's a little heater when she's laying next to you. All in all she's a great cohort in crime out off road with me.
