I didn't see that you'd replied here. Sorry. Going in a 69 SWB fleet with C4 suspension, LS3/6L90 drivetrain. I don't even have a radio yet, just want to get the speakers in before it gets all clogged up under the dash.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Truck is really looking great Travis! I have a couple of questions for you. I may be installing a 5.3 in my 63 soon. what headers did you use for your install and do you sell them? do you have more pics of your engine install? Thanks!

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Thank you! I used the Hooker manifolds and they fit well, with a lot of room. We do sell them, and will see if I can dig up some more install photos for you. If not on mine, my dad is in the middle of LS swapping his '66. I will actually be helping him some this weekend.
Send me an email and be glad to send some photos. If you want to see anything in particular, let me know and I will grab some images when we drop his in this weekend. travis@azproperformance.com Headers: http://www.azproperformance.com/Hook...-8501-HKR.html |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
I'm loving this 63', such an awesome job Travis!
Do you by chance have any pictures of how you connected the brake booster linkage to the brake pedal assembly? Do you sell the kit for the linkage? Any pointers/insight on the install or what to tap the booster pushrod to is greatly appreciated, thanks man! The sooner I hit the lottery, the sooner we can cruise to the Pavs, ha!

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Thanks man!
I don't sell anything like that, but I just bought a small heim from McMasterCarr.com which bolted directly to the pedal assembly. I would look at what heims are available, as most are 3/8-16 if I remember right. Its getting closer to the good cruising weather! |

I just used a heim joint, some all thread cut to the desired length, a coupler and some jamb nuts.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
The rear axle seals were leaking, so I decided to pull the bed to make things easier. At the same time, I wanted to relocate my computer and VU4 to be better accessible. Just in case I needed access and the truck was unable to lift. This is what I came up with for a solution.
I Uses the AccuAir ECU/VU4 mount, then adapted one of our aluminum tube clamp bracket from an offload product we manufacturer. Think it turned out pretty well. Still have yet to finish, but will try and post pics when done. Ignore the dirt and dust... it is a driver. lol |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Nice Travis,
Great looking adaptation, it helps me visualize ways to do mine. Love to see more pics with an overall view when you finish up, and I'll have to think about other ways that bracket could be used.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
lol... You caught me.
I did, and needed to tighten the bolts and think that is why it was "sweating" like that. On a side note, this was a pump assembly I installed, not Boyd, so I may have not tightened them quite enough to begin with. Always good to take the trucks apart and do a routine check on everything. |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Ended up switching the radiator out to a Entropy due to the dual fans. I think that will work better in the summer in keeping the condenser cooler for the AC system.
