Re: Mike's 50
Looks great! I am very close to getting my truck driving and I just got my seat recovered. As you did, I will wait to get the balance of the interior done and hope that it will look as good as yours.

AD,
I think he wanted more of a driver. It was a very nice truck.

Re: Mike's 50
We left on Saturday morning to head up to home town of Weaverville, CA. Northern Ca. We just hit the Freeways and did mostly 80mph we hit some heavy drizzle, light rain and found windshield leaks in the lower corners, and center and also my corner windows leak a small amount.
The last 45 miles is up over mountain to about 3300 ft. trans does run hot and I'm going to have to move it or.... Ran about 205f climbing the mountain. I have to work on that. Did a total of 650ish miles and no issues other than trans runs hot. need to fix water leaks and figure out either a fix for cooler where it is or move it to the front. Picture is truck thru bar window in downtown weaverville. Also new Michelins a few months ago are mostly gone, way to sticky rubber and wears fast

Re: Mike's 50
Just happened to click over to the trans temp in my wife's Suburban while in town today. 97° and humid, it was right at 190. My Ford F150 with a 5.0/6 speed auto runs a 195 and stays there. Apparently Ford has them thermostatically controlled to run that temp. Takes 15-20 minutes of driving to get it there, however.
205 working it up a mountain doesn't sound too out of whack, and probably livable. You don't want to overshoot and cool it too well!

Matt 50,
Thanks, the interior paint is an Isuzu walnut brown, if I recall correctly. I will see if I can get the name

Re: Mike's 50
Well weekend before last took the truck up to Auburn outside Sacramento, no issues.
This weekend I went to a Fathers day car show in San Jose. couple of other trucks there. Nice 55 cameo. Also did a oil change and changed the thermostat out for a 160* I now have 5100 miles

Re: Mike's 50
Well been a while since a post. I haven't been working on the truck just driving it. I have replaced the rear tires again just last week.
I have 6300 miles on the truck now. I have made 2 750 mile trips up to Northern Cal in the few months. Last trip up to my Uncles winery in Lewiton was for my daughters wedding ceremony. She had me drive her to the ceremony in the truck. It was 100+ out that day.

Re: Mike's 50
Mostly sitting since the fuel pump relay issue I posted in the main forum section. I hope to get it back in the shop over the winter once my work project car clears out.
I would like to finish the doors, replace the right side window regulator that is bad already. and maybe work on getting the bed floor in.
