I got the wheels from a local Billet Specialties dealer here in DFW, he gets them for me and a few people I know at his cost. I only paid 2200$ for all four rims, and the back ones are 12" wide.


Now if I could just find an American Force wheels dealer, I'd go ahead and get the 24" Semi wheels I want for my Dodge Dually.

That is a really good price! I wish i could get some wheels that nice for that kind of money. They do look great on your truck, you did a really nice job putting it all together.

I've been thinking of doing a Weiand blower for a long time now, but I think the plan might be changing. I talked to board member SCOTI today about doing an LS2 with a 4L60 swap in my truck and I'm researching it very heavily. So stay tuned things might get interesting!

Nothing is wrong with the current setup, other than it's real thirsty.

Why you ask, well I've had plenty of carbureted SBC's ,but never had a late model motor swap. I did the math and for the price of the Weiand blower, and the cam ,and carburetor that I need it wouldn't take much more to get an LS1, or LS2. Atleast I think, plus I thought it might take the truck up another notch.

Got any opinions on this? ...........I'm open to them.

If i were to do an LS build with their lower end capabilities, i would add some type of boost...

mark up on American force wheels is little to nothing... your better off buying some Alcoas and having a billet guy cut your own design. belive it or not it will be WAY cheaper if you notice all their designs start from a semi Alcoa wheel. In fact his first wheels they were buying alcoas and cutting them up

NAH, you haven't missed much.

However since you posted in my thread and brought it back to the top I guess I'll give an update. I haven't done much lately except change one of the headlights out. I'm still leaning on doing an engine swap instead of the blower on my SBC. The LS swap is still a possibility but it seems to be adding up quickly. Another possibility is a ZZ502 believe it or not it seems to be the easiest and best option for what I want, but we'll see.


Sometimes I make plans before researching them fully and then it turns out it's more work and $MONEY$ than I expected. It's my A.D.D. acting up (lol). Just look how long I talked about getting new wheels ,but I finally got some. Rest assured an engine swap is coming in the future whether it will be an LS or a 502 is still up in the air. I've got to get my taxes done before I can spend a big chunk of money on an engine swap, so stay tuned it's coming.

Wouldn't roll up, wouldn't roll down, wouldn't fit the window frame, poor design, poor construction, only 1 vertical channel not 2, tinted glass, was supposed to be clear glass, factory door stop had to be removed and replaced with the one in the kit, would have been OK if Mickey Mouse hadn't designed it.

I spent 10 hours trying to make one side work and could not succeed. I do paint and body for a living so I'm used to taking doors apart and running into problems, and still could not do anything to make it work correctly.

I totally understand the quality issues about the windows, I remember Nuke having a similar problem with some on his build HERE I'm not sure how he made them work but they look good. It sure would be cool to design some that work good and have the right channels you are talking about. thanks

I was thinking of the 1 piece untill i start to look at the vent window, they just look good and with no AC, will serve a purpose.
OOH, and LSX sounds good. I love old school but the LS series is just easier to make POWER. big old procharger would be a nice add on.

I was wondering if you could tell me if the "inner bedside mod" is different than the "tubbing" stated here in your post or direct me where i can find it. I am in the process of doing the tubs too and every little bit helps.
