Re: '68 c10 build
Couple of other small things. The door panels, glove box door, and ash tray are all painted and just waiting to be color sanded and buffed.

Re: '68 c10 build
And my "smoothie" rear bumper came in. I'm anxious to see it installed. I will try and get some time later in the week.
I ordered it from Jegs instead of Brothers like I had for the front. It was quite a bit cheaper especially when you factor in shipping. I also compared it to a "smoothie" rear bumper my buddy ordered from Brothers. It appears to be the same. Just food for thought.

Re: '68 c10 build
The Mar-K side trim came in yesterday. I haven't seen it in person yet, but my dad said it was "beautiful." They also got the rear bumper installed.

Re: '68 c10 build
I'm afraid to post it on here for fear of getting the thread pulled. However, I think the truck will sell for high 40's to mid 50's. We will see though. Have a couple of local guys who are acting really interested. One of them for sure has the money for it and has had a high-dollar street rod built by the shop before.

Re: '68 c10 build
I almost have the interior complete. Waiting on the steering wheel still and need to decide what to do for a stereo.

Re: '68 c10 build
Thank you very much. It’s been fun. We just have a few small things left to finish. The most noticeable being the tailgate.

Re: '68 c10 build
The tailgate is now done too. This is still hanging in the booth and hasn't been color sanded or buffed yet. It's official though, all paint work is finished!

Re: '68 c10 build
Couple of little updates. First, these little l.e.d. license plate lights came with the rear bumper. I got them wired up and installed today. I think they look pretty good.

Re: '68 c10 build
I also finally changed out the bolts on the firewall that were holding the ecu under the dash to button heads. They look a lot better.
I also went and bought a decent looking air filter. Getting closer to being done. Just waiting on a steering wheel, need to buff the tailgate, and paint the radio delete plate.

Re: '68 c10 build
Thank you, and I really am proud. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to working on it but I have learned a lot in the time I had.

Re: '68 c10 build
Did those smoothie bumpers require different brackets or do they use the same standard brackets?
