Re: New member with a 1960
Its been a few days since I posted. The truck is moving along at rocket speed...we just got back from the Charlotte auto fair, I feel like I walked 30 miles! The new SCORE arrived also last week!

Just read through all of this and what a gorgeous build you have. It has given me the motivation to restart mine which has been stalled for over a year now.

The Jimmy has a healthy 6.0 LQ4 LS engine in the works right now, it should be done in a few weeks, I didn't supercharge this one....it should be mild, around 500-525 hp, 4L80E tranny, static drop, just ordered some Raceline wheels, going to put the trim back on, have the top smoothed and painted the same grey as the wheels. The interior will be the highlight!

Re: New member with a 1960
We have the front end assembled.... I had ordered a set of billet hood hinges from Eddie Motorsports, when we installed them they would not hold the hood up fully open, but at about 18 inches open they made it very difficult to shut completely, I called Eddie Motorsports to figure out what the issue was and MAN O MAN what an ordeal.......the man told me point blank "well what have you done to that hood to make it so heavy" I explained that it was stock and even missing some metal due to rust. He then told me "well you've done something for these not to work" then he suggested changing the shocks out from a 460 series to a 500 series, billed me for them and made me pay the freight......I supposedly will get a refund when the 460 series are returned with me paying freight again!!!!! Lesson learned, I will never buy from those guys again!

Re: New member with a 1960
The truck is about ready to crank, its going on the lift tomorrow to start the exhaust, hopefully the driveshaft and coil overs will land in the next day or so, we might get lucky and get all of that installed in the next few days!
This is where I get overly anxious!

Re: New member with a 1960
She's on the lift, exhaust has began, still waiting on coil overs, the driveshaft has arrived....We had issues with the cleat on the wheels, they had to be redone, I actually like them better now, we used a different product this time, I really like it!

Re: New member with a 1960
We are rolling right along.... Ride height is just about there, I think we may drop it about 1/2 inch all the way around!

Re: New member with a 1960
So here is our current situation!!! The exhaust is being removed today to do the final welding, We are not sure if we want to run it at an angle behind the rear tires or exit out of the rear fenders behind the tires, I'm leaning towards coming out the fenders, just because it doesn't kick up as much dust! I darn sure hope it sounds good, this is the first attempt at running 4 mufflers!
