Pretty cool laid out CCSB. I found this on the Dropsicles CC website under their Lethbridge, AB chapter. www.dropsicles.com
Says the owner is Rich and its a 1985 Chevy Crew Cab short box.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'91 Crew Cab Short beds?
...what size tires are you running? And what drop front/rear? I am doing the same thing to mine except keeping it 8 lug and using a cab and chassis 14 bolt which is narrower for a wider meat out back. Going to stick with widened stock steelies in a 16"...
nice ride by the way, build thread?

Re: How about some pics of '73-'91 Crew Cab Short beds?
If I started with a 1ton DRW crewcab, what would the smartest way to get the parts needed for a CCSB conversion? Buy a 1/2 ton parts truck?
Don't light me up for axing a stupid question. Never really used my dually for what I bought it for and maybe this way I can actually get some use out of it. |

If so, then getting a complete (as far as the parts needed) swb parts truck would be ideal. - lower control arms (although I read that someone is making a 3"(?) drop spindle for converting 3/4 and 1 ton trucks to 5-lug rotors) - rear-end - short bed gas tanks (14 gal.) - rear frame section if you choose that method, which I did because I had the donor and it seemed like the easiest most straight forward way to do it, but turns out that is not fool-proof either? - most importantly, a short bed - etc.

flip kit (6"?), 3" spindles, 1" springs - had 3" springs (first picture posted), but that was too much. Looked cool, but was not realistic to be driven regularly. That picture was when I had 235/75-15 tires on it, with the 255/60's it would have been probably 1" closer to the ground in front... Back surgery on Monday 05/23 and then 2-3 weeks off work. I ought to have plenty of time then to go through my pictures and put a build thread together.

At the time it had a 9.5" lift on the front 11.5" in the back. 350 hp marine 6.5 turbo diesel th400 np205. Right now it's in the process of a 5.9 and Allison 1000 swap. I'm in anchorage btw.

Yep I still have it but after running 20 psi of boost one of the pistons cracked. The motor only had 2000 miles on it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'91 Crew Cab Short beds?
Yea it a single turbo. It's the banks sidewinder turbo with a custom 4" straight piped exhaust. Only 1 head is good and the turbo system survived also.
