Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
You guys should have told me when I first mentioned I was going rhino line the bed red. I have no problem with you guys letting me know what you think or your opinion. Thats why I post my builds on here so we can bounce ideas off of each other. I want peolpe to like the truck and you guys have great ideas so don't worry about letting me know what you think.

As for a red bedliner, I must admit, it could work as a compliment to the red interior but it would have to match. If the shade was different, it would look like two things slapped together. Then again, it could be too much red. And, black has a greater universal appeal. It will probably wear better too. |

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
Eric If your going w/ black carpet in the interior,You could do the sides red & fade it into a black floor. You'll have to spray the sides & the front first & wait till its dry then mask it & spray the black. But I wouldnt do all red,I sprayed a srt8t & I used ppg red tint in the liner material Holly Sh-t was it bright, you needed sunglasses to look at it. This might give you some sense of what it'd look like in Red.

YOur work is outstanding, I have scanned thru all 3 builds today. I will have to subscribe to see what happens with the finished trucks.

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
Thanks Karl. Here is what I finished last night. I made a cut through for the air lines and the wires and built a box so you would not see any of the wires or air lines from the bed. I welded nuts into the floor so i could mount the air tank to the false floor. I also finished under coating the bed.
I also finished cutting the hole for the battery box. |

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
looking good , time for some spray in bedliner now , i dont know what brand you like but i sure like the texture that Line-ex has i think it is the most even texture, doesnt look like cottage cheese like some of the others do

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
Red paint and red rhino liner i think are two totally different things. Once you add that texture that the bed liner has i believe it would kill the brightness of the red that that flat black truck above has. Just my opinion.

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
Alot of the new liners have a gloss and can be color matched to any color. But the cost is crazy expensive 950 whick I think is alittle expensive for something that is taped and sprayed. 450 for black

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
just to add one more option.....
Note: I would have personally painted the back part black so you don't see the red above the bumper...... His had a red interior also....

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
I took the steering wheel completely apart and the looms and had them coated satin black the same as the frame. The battery box will be in the bed next to the tank. Should look cool.

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
I was just curious if it was a production piece or if you custom made it (like everything else ) Supplier info, diameter, direct fit or adapter.... etc

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build
This is a billet specialies classic wheels and the smooth horn button and adapter for a chevy column. I had it powder coated. The wire looms are billet specialties too.
