i am thinking about welding a backing plate to the flange of the original inner fenders and then welding that to the tubs... i am thinking this will work so i can still bolt it in.... this front fender thing is a pain in the butt

Explain with pictures? I ended up with 10 bolts that hold the inner fender....I stood on them so if they will hold my fat butt they should be OK.... I hear you on the inner fenders being a pain, the drivers side took me a couple nights and then when I got to the passenger side it took me about four hours.... just glad I can check that off the list
