Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

piratexpress1369a,

That crew-dually looks great! In my opinion, the later model rear fenders don't look out of place at all. I don't think i would have out the 63 grill and 60 hood together. Looks a little busy to me.

I wonder if the owner is a VW fan? They had the 3-door crewcabs back in the 60's

Awesome looking truck!

Pirate,

Sure would like to see and know more about this one. The one rear door that opens looks like a custom job? It does not look like any Crew Cabs that I have ever seen or pictures from the brochures from any of the various coach builders.

from the pictures that he showed me when he first got it home it looked pretty rough..he told me that the only mod he did was to add a window crank to the drivers rear window so all 4 windows would be able to roll down and he also add tilt steering from a chevy van..power plant is a 454 big block .here is another shoot of the doors ..if there is any thing that you want me to found out about let me know and i can go back over and ask him and i could take some more pics too

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Cool delivery near the house my daughter had a Girl Scout meeting.
The second one was too quick for my camera. It was a red GMC short bed fleetside small window with a white top.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

This Burb crossed my path from a side street a couple of blocks ahead of me. I followed it until he stopped at a local business. I chatted briefly with the owner. Pretty much stock with original 292.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

I don't have any pictures but while in Maui I have seen a '65 LWB (I spoke to the owner), a '64 - '66 LWB, and a '60 - '63 GMC 4x4 along with a '64 - '66 - both in a recycling yard.

I saw this 60 GMC with the original V6 this morning going from one small town home to another small town home. I hope that they bring it back to life.
