Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
Its been a while since my last post just been buzy and not able to play on the truck and when i finally got to today it was 36 deg out side ..
any way was able to spend time on the seat base on the passanger side had a little miss hap with a primer can while mixing and spatered primer all over every thing so thus sanding the seat base .. Too get them ready for paint and put in the truck. the driver side will be power and the pass side will be non power still looking for a center console .. |

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
Your truck is looking awesome. I am most interested in the rear fenders. I am at the crossroad right now as to whether to widen the rear fenders or split the bed and widen it. I am leaning more towards the bed as it might be a little easier form me, but we'll see. I just set it on this past weekend for the first time to see how much and it looks like I am going to need about 5 inches total.

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
Good progress! Double check your front caliper pin depth. I have had a compatibility issue in that area before and different pin lengths are available. From the outside shot it looks like the pins are barely inside the non-threaded side of the caliper. This could be very dangerous. Maybe you just hadn't tightened the pins yet in that shot?

Nice truck, I like the widened fenders and big meats. And that motor!

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
Ok its been a while the truck was brought home from the painter after 7 1/2 months with out being touched so i brought it home.
so ive started stripping the inside of the hood and getting it all ready to prime black and then ill paint the in side. unless i find a painter that can get the hole truck done in 4 months im going to hot rod it black and get it ready to drive in the spring the doors and fender and the nose are ready for final sand for sealing and paint so will see what will happen . |
