Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

She looks EVIL! It's 75 here today. Weird weather!

You'll get it right. Take your time. Runs or not, looks killer in pics!

I repainted the entire nose of my truck back in '06 because of a couple runs. Got it right the last time!

Thanks Rus!!! But im not satisfied...Too many runs....I have decided tomorrow I start wet sanding around noon. It will be 65 hours since it was last coated so i think it will be good to go. I have a ton of 400 grit sand paper just waiting for it!!

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

That floorboard looks fabulous, well done! are you going to put Fatmat or a sound deadening material?
The paint you used, did it have a hardener?

I will do sound deadening just not for a while.

The John Deere Blitz black can be used with or without hardener but I did use it. I wanted it to dry fast and it gives it more sheen with it and I wanted a little sheen

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Don't use fatmat, it's pretty much that cheap rolled roofing stuff with their logo on it. They do make a good butyl stuff but it's $. Stick with butyl dynamat.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Nice work the car is looking a lot better. Like has already been said, it can be sanded and resprayed. You are teaching your self great techniques and the more you do the better you get at it. I agree the car looks real tough man. Nice work!!!

Good luck with it man! The next thing the car needs is some window tint to make that black work!
