Re: Project "Funky Monkey"

Thanks! It's kinda cool to go back and see where I started. I am ready to finish this one and start another .

I was showing my dad this build thread the other day, he hasn't seen my truck yet, and he asked me if I wanted to restore his old 41 Willys jeep that has been sitting behind his house for 20 years. It's not in horrible shape...but that would be fun too.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"

I'll just keep them blue. I've thought about it a few times and wish I would have gone with a lite gray or charcoal color. I don't think it looks so bad that I need to change it.

I don't know.... What do you guys think?

I think the blue powdercoat looks good. It's definetly a little different too. Nothing wrong with mixing it up. As for the body, hard to beat red.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"

A little update for you guys... I am still trying to work on the breaks and the maps for the EFI. To be able to work on the timing and mess with the motor I have to make it quieter. I am in a nice neighborhood and these people around here really like their peice and quiet....so I have the truck on a trailer right now. I am taking her to get exhaust in the morning. Hopefully that will help me be able to work on my motor without ticking off the neighbors.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"

Congrats on getting to drive this bad boy! I bet those Borla's sound good too. My buddy had similar on his pony car and they sounded good. They are top quality. Looks like the muffler shop did a real good job too.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"

after looking at this pic I think I have decided to go with a bigger notch. that small cnotch doesn't go low enough.
