Re: Show us your projects
Hey guys,
There are some pics of my truck a few pages back but today my mom found a picture in a box and I just had to share it. The truck looks almost exactly the same as it did then (I just got it this fall). The pic was taken in September 1987, the day my dad brought the truck home, and I am the 4 year old boy on the bumper. Also in the pic is my sister (age 6), my dad, and my old dog B.A. (I bet you can guess what 80's tv show had the character he was named after). I also looked at my rust more closely and I see some major surgury coming soon. And just for the sake of pictures. Here are 2 of my dad's 57 chevy that we are working on. Its in our 4 bay, 2 hoist shop. Sadly the 2 door 57 chevy and the 67 GTO convertable were in the other building so I didn't get any pics of them this weekend. |

Re: Show us your projects
This is my 51 truck that I am re-doing. It is torn apart now. I am putting a dual cavity master cylinder in the stock position. I have had the frame powder coated. It turned out nice.

Re: Show us your projects
I bought my truck 20 years ago, a poor dumb kid in college and it's just never seemed to get going. This is the state it is currently and it's been there for years .. I hope to get working on it again this year. I also have the frame already modified with a Camaro clip up front. Original plans were for a Blown Pro Street look, but since so many years have passed I'm now shooting for smoothed, billet wheels and more a street rod look with probably an LS1 based engine.
Combination of 1955 and 1959 parts .. but will end up a 1955 Cab is pretty near to done, rounded door corners Shaved Firewall Doors shaved with reversed latches Shaved Dash Shaved Drip Rails Hopes is to have something along these lines (pictures I found), air suspension, billet wheels, smoothed out. |

Re: Show us your projects
Father/Son project.....
today Pops got to drive his 46 out of the garage for the first time, 6 yrs in the process....he got discouraged last summer and never though he would get done after a driver T-boned him on his Sportster...a few months to recover and I moved back here to Ok. to inspired and help him get it on the road for this summer...was just a chassis with cab mounted then...this shot was first time he got to drive...on the way to get new exhaust....probably won't see him much as I'm sure he has a few hundred people to show it off to as he has been bragging about it for the last 6 yrs :-) BTW...he is 76 and all work except the motor and final paint was done by us

Re: Show us your projects
Just found this shot of us pulling it out of the woods. It had been sitting since 91,,, but had a title and a 283!! that wasnt locked up ,, That engine fired right up with points and plugs changed. Not bad for 500$.. Just heavy surface rust with a few holes here and there. I have been wanting to post pics of the build, just have to bum computer time from my bro!

Love the patina on those old farm finds. Keep posting. Do you plan on customizing or preserving original?
