I like this one, I had Shirley Temple on my mind today and listened several times. Such talent, every note and nuance.

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
I am very late to this thread and have not read it all. What I have gleaned is awesome.I listen to music all day, every day except baseball season when I listen to the Red Sox, then Cubbies, then Giants. I would recommend to the the assembled music lovers here to listen to Little Stephen's Underground Garage for an eclectic mix of various tunes. I specifically like to listen to Drew Carey the guy who does the Price is Right on Friday night at 8 PM EST. He has a program called "Friday Night Freak Out" some is not to my liking but I give him a 100% for his enthusiasm of the music we love. my Favorite artists? Kinks, Doors,Ray Wiley Hubbard, Robert Earl Keen, Skynerd (Original Lineup not current imposters) Black Sabbath early stuff,Emmy Lou Harris, Little Feat, Pousette Dart Band, John Prine and Carly Simon (especially that album where she's wearing the blue sweater, Jame Taylor was a lucky man) I also remember AFVN rocking the tunes. God Bless America.

welcome to Nudderland. I'll have to check that out. XM used to have a 2hr show Saturday nights I could not miss. DJ was Charlie Hargrett from Blackfoot and the show was called Smokestack. It was primarily Southern Rock, all Americana

I like that song. Josh Turner and Larkin Dodgen do one of the greatest versions IMO. https://youtu.be/hdSuigNFZKI

Such a mellow feel good song. My mom was a fan of Bosa Nova when I was a kid growing up.

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
That was great and timely for current events. Thanks so much for sharing. My dad was a huge early blues lover. This is the music I grew up with, 78s. Dad would grab a guitar or banjo and belt the blues out. Great memories. I knew all the Delta blue singer names in elementary school.

Great photo Tim and a great story. One of these years I’d like to learn to play.

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
Thanks. My dad in the '60s. I never learned to play myself and still have hopes of picking it up, also. I'd be happy to just strum out a few tunes

My Dad used to play guitar , I wanted to learn but he was blind and unable to teach me. I always enjoyed listening to him and my uncle play.

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
My dumbass wanted to be a drummer so I passed up the chance to learn guitar when young. My dad made that guitar he's playing in the woodshop at the HS he taught at.
He sang this one a lot

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
That song hit home here, in my town I live 5-6 miles outside of. out here it's even better. No one better try any funny business around here. We take care of our own problems. A strange car stopped along the road or pulling into a driveway gets all eyes on it. Kind of like Beverly Hills or Palm Beach, FL, only we take action ourselves and don't have law enforcement prioritizing our protection the way they do the ultimate rich.
A group of professional shoplifters from Baltimore thought it would be convenient to take a ride out I-70 to take prey on our Walmart. They were figured out quick and our town police were waiting for them outside to stop them in their tracks. They even figured out which car was theirs while they were doing their business inside. That even had a really expired tag ----- I'd like share a bit of T-Bone Walker here. Not related to this topic, but the blues is where country music originates from

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
Yesterday being my birthday I reflected a bit. Two little Feat songs came to mind from when I was 18 and younger, 50+ years now. I've always liked them but I surely relate myself to them like never before. It's not literal meaning, it's poetic meaning and really apply
