Rally repros (maybe 8"), trim rings, 55 Bel Air caps? That's my best guess!

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Usually I run the stock hubcaps and trim rings like I posted earlier in this thread, but sometimes if I'm doing a "hot rod" show or just want something different, I'll use these '65 Corvette wheelcovers.

I like that size wheel in tire. I like running the same size all the way around.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

You'll have to pull the axles and have the hub registers machined down. But you will need to leave a little lip to hold the brake drum in place.

I just put on my new to me Boyd billet wheels and 245-70-16 tires. I think it dressed the old girl up nicely...

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

I ordered one tire from Summit mostly to see how it looked and to make sure their stats were right, and they were. This is a 235/70 R15. The tread width is 8.2" and is about 1" less then my 245/60's that are on there now, they are also about 1 1/2" taller. I was thinking about going that route all the way around but now I think I might see how a 275/60 will look on the rear. I was looking around and I just didn't care for the Cooper GT's. and I wanted something different then BF Goodrich.

I had 235/70/15s on 7" front with 275/60/15 on 8" rear with my 93 C1500. Thought dimensionally the same height (28") the fronts looked taller.
