Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
Thank you everyone. I love this thing. Just need to work out a few bugs and finish the wheel tubz in the bed and it should be ready to rock for the summer. Willie and I are pooped from the build but it sure was worth it!

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
Seth at the end of the day its your creation and you built it. It feels a lot better telling someone you built it with your two hands then saying you bought it done. You should be proud of the build you did a great job.

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
Nice job. Would you mind posting a few pics of how you terminated the bed wood at the rear by the tailgate? I'm trying to figure out how to do that on mine.

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
I'll send some pictures tonight Hart_Rod. I can tell you it lays on 1" square tubing. and at the tailgate I used a piece of 1"x2" laying vertically to form a "L" shape. The wood terminates into the L. Hope that makes sense, pictures will help.

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
Such an awesome build.
Another question about the engine, is that the Billet Specialties 15-Degree Black Anodized Thermostat Housing? Have you had any leaking issues with it?

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
It just barely touches the flat spot on the tub when aired out. I bedlined the inside of my tubz, so I am going to trim it a little and they will be perfect. They dont hit the tops of the tub. In other words, if the wheels had a little more camber they wouldnt touch

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
Seth - those are perfect, TYVM! Last question, did you just use a factory wood bed kit? If so, did you have to modify it?

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"
I ordered a regular wood kit from bedwood. Just had to trim the 4 corner pieces some not to bad. Easy. I trimmed around wheel wells to just to give me more room
