Re: LFD's gas pedal adapters (71-72 gas pedals in 67-70's)

I was told today when I went by that I should be able to pick them up this next Friday 8-2-13. The cost is going to go up to $40 per adapter as my cost went up $5ea plate but this is $7 cheaper than what my last guy wanted to charge me.

I will have all orders written out and ready to drop the plate in Friday night so they can ship Saturday @ 10am when my local post office opens.

I wanted to purchase one of these, but the link in the original post is still for $35. Are you gonna change that to $40, or is there any way for me to add on the extra $5?

According to the message I received Friday I should be picking them up tonight. If this holds true they will start shipping out Wednesday.

I have a 69 swb with the rod setup. Can I buy one of your kits and run it with a lokar cable? Thanks!

You should be able to, I'm running a lokar cable with mine.

That's great news! Which cable did you go with? Bbc or sbc? I want to also order up a Lokar kick down cable. Any experience with those?

Yes it will work just fine. I'm not sure which cable you will need, in low buck when I had the LT1 in her I used the stock LT1 cable and made it work by shortening the cable cover and using a cable clamp under the dash for a factory install look. So with some work this bracket will make life and future mods much easier and safer.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I used the universal cut to fit stainless steel Hi-Tech throttle cable. My truck has an inline 6 and it had one on it when I got, so I figured I'd just run the same thing. I have a manual so I don't know anything about the kickdowns.

I'd like to order one but Paypal won't let me without linking to my card. Any other options to pay? I can Paypal, but not really wanting to jump through any more of Paypal's hoops.

My kit showed up today, looks great! Thank you!

Also thanks for the help on the universal cable. Thats pretty much what I expected I had to do, just wasn't sure if there was a correct length ready to bolt on. Thanks!

Payment just sent. Have you got stock right now?

What else do I need to find to complete this mod on my '70? I figured I'd do it while the engine was out.

Thanks!

Yes I do and yours will ship out by this weekend. Only thing you will now need is the 71/72 style pedal. All mounting hardware for the kit is included.

Awesome. Got the pedal assembly on the way thanks to my western brother-from-another-mother.
