Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Was a good day today. Got lots of stuff in mail today. I kinda confused on my pushrods some say 2710 some say 2910 but they all say 7.400 inches. They are very heavy too. Very thick. New bolt did not say the tq spec....Any ideas?

ah you went for the sliders. Will give you more flexibilty....just make sure those puppies are locked down good when you get it where you want it. Torque specs for the crank pulley are in that 6.0 .pdf manual I posted.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

YA i figured they would be the best ones for me. They can move forward one inch and back 2 i think. They have great welds and the name carved in them looks great. I have the manual but i think it is not a tq to yeald type bolt. Think it is reusable. Think it is a re branded ARP. Hope to install pushrods and bolt this week end. Also going to install the intake and hope to order most of the rest of the parts i need.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

It says to do 240 with old bolt, take old out then go 37 plus 140 degress. Do i still follow that prosses with new bolt even if it is reusable?

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

you ever get a set of exhaust manifolds? I thought my LY6 manifolds fit fairly tight...until I saw some TrailBlazerSS manifolds. Funny thing......I plan on putting headers on our TBSS, had I of done it already...I would have had a set laying around!

So you're looking for LY6 manifolds?
I just happen to have a set! Only "slightly" modified

So how slightly modified are they. I mean do they still hold in the exhaust and what you want for them.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

I ground on the passenger one under port #2 and the most to the exhaust flange. I'll have to get pics...but if you look at this one you can tell where I had to grind off to make it fit. It still has at least 1/4"-3/8" sealing surface all around the center.

oh...and there cheap!

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

I need some help finding the oil cooler bypass that goes on the oil pan over the filter. I can not find one that does not have a hole in it for a sensor. I want to use the one with no hole to put my oil sensor in factory location.

You can always just plug the sensor hole in the bypass you can find and if you decide to install a mechanical gauge later then the installation is super simple.
