Thank you Mark... very very nice thing to say... and I agree on the color.

Thanks Mike, you know how hard it is to do less than your best... your rig sure shows it.

I do appreciate all the looks and likes we got, as this project gets close to completion. Be back next month... Thanks again.

Re: tilly to the rescue

thanks guys... really appreciate it.

tilly is in the cut and buff phase right now. and its kickin my behind. very slow going on this big black beast... and then... an ah-ha moment. try craigslist. ran an ad for experienced color sander and buffer person( i say that because a person named Mary actually applied). hopefully the same person can do both things, cut and buff. got half a dozen calls when i got a call from a team of 2 younger guys with lots of experience, energy and willingness to suffer the heat. in 4 hours these guys got more done that i did in 2 days and my back never felt better. Thanks Craig!

below is a rendering of the type and logos on the truck as well as a deep copper boat-flake roof... getting fun now

Re: tilly to the rescue

heres a little update on the tilly truck.
after the massive job of cutting and buffing, then dialing in all the mechanics, plus installing a few more pieces like mirrors and stereo and cab lights...

tilly went over to a buddy, eric snodgrass, for some hand brushed lettering and pin striping... looks killer.

then out to scottybob for carpet and upholstery... also killer.

Re: tilly to the rescue

this truck is almost finished and i think that our customer is very pleased.
still to do are a few more things like install hood ornament and maybe some fender emblems. also a new set of wheel-vintiques steelies and new tires plus the alinement. just in time for our towns biggest event " bikes blues and bbq" when over 300,000 motorcycles visit for a week... it gets crazy here.

this truck will be on display outside my customers showroom with a vintage and very rare motorcycle in back. i will get some more pics then.... thanks for checking in guys, later...

oh yeah, the last pic is that little puppy gus. he's 9 months old and over 100 lbs. already

Re: tilly to the rescue

Spent most of the morning bouncing from the first page to the last.
Sure made a difference from when Tilly rolled threw the gate to present.
Thanks for sharing this great build.
