Home for the day, and thinking the only way this truck is going to see the light of day is going to be to send it to paint jail and let them deal with it..

I hope it gets a short stay in jail instead of an extended stay like mine did .

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Well... no updates... no paint jail, and no new parts now for a while. I havnt forgotten about it, just doing the life thing is all.

Seeing some of the other builds getting wrapped up is making me really really jealous....

It will be there for you when you can get back to it. And sometimes a little break away isn't a bad thing....

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

UPS Freight called to confirm delivery for Monday... I didn't realize they would be bringing a semi with a 53 footer. They wont be able to get that on my street so I had to arrange it to be delivered to a company down the street with docks and Ill have to get it home from there. But I'm excited to finally be getting some new stuff to get that bed going again.
I never sent the truck to paint jail. I really didn't want to without the whole thing fit and together. Besides, I might be doing a little something else to the grille first.

lol, its not really that much. All bed supports, wood, and the bed front. I guess its just too much for the delivery van.

The long one looks to be the only one that has extra bends and the rest don't look bad from what I remember mine looked like. I could be wrong but I'd check the for fit before removing bends. They will be up to your standards when you're done fixing them. LOL. Ya it sucks I made my own.

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Yep, that's how mine looked when they came. The two sections running from reservoir to the rear end were both shipped with extra bends. They straightened out and fit just fine, but I too was surprised when my brake line kit showed up in a relatively small box. At first I thought they hadn't shipped the front to rear section yet...

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

They all ship like that. It's hard to find a box small enough that will work with all the bends in a long piece. You either have to have an extra bend or an extra set of fittings to get it in a box to ship. A lot of the brake like companies even say it in the fine print that they bend it to ship. Very common. Have had two sets from different companies sent that way. One from Inline Tube, the other from Right Stuff Detailing.

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Damn it... apparently I only ordered 1 of the cross sills that I needed 3 of on the bed supports... Must not have been paying attention again. Imagine that...

The Wife said I cant order anything else till after Christmas... But I just accidentally hit the "Pay Now" button.
Its been nice knowing all of you...

By the way... isn't there supposed to be some little rubber pads that go under some of those sills?
