Yes sir, a few weeks earlier than expected. I can’t wait to see it all on there. Kicking around the idea of painting the black stripe in the trim red as well. Once it’s all on there, I’m going to do it with red tape and make the decision then.

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed

Very nice finishing touch. The red would go well with the tailgate letters!

Killer lighting makes for a pretty decent looking truck.

I'm gonna vote for red, ...especially with the tailgate "Chevrolet" in red (which I think looks killer on the truck

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed

We did the stripe in red. The boy loves it. I’m not convinced. I actually think it toned the truck down and made it pop less. It looks better in person than it does in the pics though.

First off, that truck looks amazing. Regarding the red trim....as subtle as it may seem, the red 'pops' even with the hint of red from the calipers

Thanks. My son did an Instagram poll today and the red was winning like 40-8. I guess I’m going to lose this one. 😂

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed

The trim on my 68 was red from the factory and it was a blue truck, so I don't think it's out of line.

Every time I look at your truck I get the itch to buy new wheels and tires.

If I had my 5-lug conversion done and was a little closer, I would be very tempted.

Re: Son's 68 c10 Short Bed

Brief update: My son has been putting the miles on his truck with no major issues to speak of. I relocated the fuel pump closer to the tank and lower a few weeks ago due to it being noisy. Also, last week it started idling funny and it threw a code. I replaced the Mass Air Flow which seems to have resolved that issue. All-in-all, things are good and the truck is performing as expected.
