Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Put the stromberg i rebuilt on, set the point gap and changed three fouled plugs, yes a 305v6 will run on three cylinders. Added fresh gas and went for a test drive. Brakes need major work now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Got my frame mount brake pedal/master cylinder mounts made and test fit. Also made a matching throttle pedal set up thru the floor. The idea here is to have nothing on the firewall. Should be making and installing the front floor pans tomorrow-wanted to get the brake pedal done and fab floor around it. Will post pics in my build thread. Also made my own LED front park/turn signals for the GMC hood I am using. If anyone wants to have a set, let me know-it was cheap and easy!

Oil / oil filter change and lubed the front end.
Then I proceeded to run out of grease in the grease tube without a spare tube. whoops. -W |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Finally got a set of headers that fit good, did not have to trim the frame. This was set 3 as the first set of Hedman's wouldnt work with the motor moved to the forward hole, I also tried some patriot shorties, those were close but hit the CPP mounts

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I did full rear brake job on my 64 C20 Crew Cab using 1980 K20 front rotors, calipers and lines. Did the swap in 06 and 1 caliper locked up last weekend so i swapped all out yesterday. The mounting brackets are for a 14bolt disc conversion and work on the Eaton H052 / H072. From Great Lakes Offroad...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Tell some details on those kick panels w/speakers! They look great - how do they sound?
As for me, I picked up a new bed and tailgate from Craigslist and pulled out my radiator and heater core. Taking them to the radiator shop....got most of the front end disassembled. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
They sound ok. Just running deck power now so cant really say for sure until I get an amp. Also the speakers are pretty low, so its a good idea to also run a speaker or pair of speakers in the factory dash to balance the sound.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
tried to get an alignment and ran into low truck prejudice.
"wont work on that its lowered" actually its channeled so its really only 2 inches or so lower than stock. "nope" so tomorrow I get to find a new alignment shop.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
What I did yesterday was mock up a front end on my 71 frame that I am converting to take a 63-66 cab and front end.
Today, I am taking the front clip and cab back off, hopefully get the nose of the 63-66 frame horns grafted to to the 71 frame, pulling the suspension, again, and cleaning everything up to be ready for paint.
