very nice. That has to feel great, just being able to stand in there and look out.

I love the square body dually. I always wanted one. This one's been great so far. She easily passed smog today after being parked for 5 years. I did get the "Is that Frank's truck? again from the mechanic. Everybody asks me that. Yes it is, or it was. Everybody knows Frank and that truck. I guess it'll always be "Franks truck'. I don't dare change anything. Nice cutting board Mark. I have a nice one that I never use because I don't want to scratch it up.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I have been doing some maintenance on my deck-over trailer and a new deck was the last task, so yesterday my brother came over and we got down and busy on it and knocked it out. Today I put two coats of linseed oil and mineral spirits 50/50 mix. Almost looks like a piece of fine furniture but won't stay that way for long.

It sure is. That new wood might get a lot of 'character' but you can keep slopping that linseed and spirits on and that wood will stay tight. Of course this is a nice place to let a little lube drip, too

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Went to our local "Wreaths Across America" today. Very moving as usual. The Lt. Col. from the USAF, who was the keynote speaker was amazing! Little disappointed with the turnout considering the perfect weather, but every wreath was placed.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Had to run down to the hardware store today for a 1 3/8 fostner bit . On the way back I stopped to fill up my Jeep before the storm this weekend . A NYC DEP guy comes up to me to comment on the Jeep he’s a big enthusiast of the XJ model . He has 3 right now we talk for a bit he’s really liking mine and sure enough he asked if I’d take $3800 for it . I’d double my investment but what would I buy it took me a couple of years of casual looking to find this one . I wasn’t looking actively but my neighbor put this one up and I jumped on it . I told him “Thanks but I really don’t want to sell it “

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I finally found some pictures of the counter top I made. This is in our old house in CA. I miss that house . We put a lot of money and time into it. Anyway, end grain walnut butcherblock.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
That’s a lot of work . I would have taken it with me and use it for something at the new house . Formica is good enough for the new owner

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
You guys do nice work! Here's a maple end grain cutting board I made. That maple is hard! I bought about 40 stair balusters that had yet to be turned. Habitat ReStore sold them to me for $80 +tax. They were 1-3/4 X 1-3/4 X 40 inches. What a steal!

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
That counter is really nice! Wife wants a new counter and sink. I know a reliable contractor who is going to do that and install all new kitchen cabinets. I have more money than energy, these days...meaning not much energy. It'd take me months to do the cabinets.
