Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I like the blazer tube doors! Are you going to make them so that they open? Or just climb over? Does anyone get fourwheeler magazine? I just looked at last months issue and it's a full-size special with an amazing gmc on the cover with a good artical on the truck.. It made me want to spend about 10k on mine so I could be where that guy is.. Daily driver 40s, still able to tow, looks great, I'd just have to spend the extra cash though and put a/c on it though..

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Got the lights aimed. I think they turned out pretty nice. Huge difference over stock lights. Went for a short drive and no one flashed their brights at me lol.
Took this with my phone, so not the best quality.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Put my truck on a tow truck, took it to the muffler shop for exhaust work and now it sounds really good. After new mufflers I DROVE to the alignment shop to align the front end...tech said everything was good, didn't need alignment. Changed the oil, calibrated the speedometer, replaced the ignition switch, filled up the gas tank, drove around awhile and did a few burn-outs. Life is good!

I went ahead and ordered the LMC harness and the conversion from DDM. Also got a set of stainless steel bed bolts so I can get the bed back on the truck. Carb Got cent out for a check, after sitting 2 years after the rebuild, it was flooding the engine massivly when trying to start the engine. Truck should be on the road in a couple weeks!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I hear ya.
I'm taking a "day off" from working on the truck. Last evening, my woman and I went up to the trans shop and picked up the TH350. Seems there was a leak at a bushing where the shaft goes thru the pump cover. He re-installed another shift shaft seal, checked the shift-shaft for grooves, replaced the bushing, and generally checked-over the 350 for leaks. He and I hefted it (back once again) into the trunk of my car. $84.61. Installed the trans cooler lines that Napa made up 1/2 way.... The ends that go into the radiator. Then I figured out that the "new" Chinese fan controller set up was a rat. Just the probe. But replacing the probe would have been virtually impossible. Napa to the rescue ....again. I'll bring home the bad one and put up a pic so you all know what NOT to buy if you ever have to get one.The Napa one is 100% more substantial and about $5 cheaper ($45). Then, here's another Pep Boys fluids stash in the back seat. I think I need a day off. Monday is more trans install and fluid pouring. Hoping for a dry Monday this time.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Installed front spindles & disk brakes from a 78 onto the 70. While I was there I cut 1-1/2 coils out to see how the front looks dropped. Like a dummy I forgot to measure the differences of before (1st pic) and after, but it looks to be around 2-3" drop.

mounted the electric fan and finished the wiring in the engine bay(still need to put it thru the loom) and drove it around the block. Brakes don't work for crap so looks like I'll be going thru brakes next, gonna go with rear disc.
