Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Well it's been a while since I have really been active on here. I am trying to get caught back up from all the traveling to Texas, Arizona, Los Angeles and Vegas. It was a blast getting the truck out there and meeting a ton of great people. We did not win street truck of the year but as you guys no that's not why the truck was built. So here are some pics of the truck. I am stearing a new build thread on a truck I am building. So enjoy and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Thank man its really hard to win that award when you are up against 500000 dollar builds with unlimited funds and perfect fit and finish. I guess that's what separated the boys from the men in that world. I should have done the metal work and paint on this truck and it would have been a different story. But I was never planning to compete at that level. No disappointments here I meet some great people and had a blast doing it. I am currently getting ready to tune the truck and then we will lay down the boost on this motor. Its going to make some great numbers. I am excited to see the numbers. I did change out the front drive on the motor and put on the Wegner set up. What a beautiful product they sell and its way over engineered.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Well first off thank you guys for the kind words. My trans axle truck will be really cool. It's race inspired like a 60s trans am car. It will have a ton of one off sheet metal. I have been working on this truck for a while now. I am really not going to post much on it because a lot of the parts will be made available to the public and therefore I don't want the ideas being used till product is done. It will be running a 345 rear and a 285-315 front tire. It will have one off dash with hidden roll cages in the bed and the cab. They will be joined together. It's patina at this time but I am considering gapping the truck and doing an extremely nice paint job. There will be a lot of race finishes on this truck. Meaning gloss and statins in the paint department. I am excited to start driving the truck

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
I've haven't read the whole thread, but it's one nice truck.I'm proud of your reason for building it so nice and respectful. I seen your comments on never a show truck again i was thinking about that lately and leaning toward nice drivers not show rig builds on mine. Never built anything to this caliber but some that was nice enough it stressed me driving it sometimes and out while leaving it somewhere etc. I know it is late but i seen where you mother passed and give you my condolences, we lost our first child Danica that same week of June at about halfway through the pregnancy. I just felt lead to comment i will think of you on in that time as we shared a common heartbreak at the same time. God Bless, Hope i didn't bring out sad memories and keep pluggin away

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Saw you and tootsie at Kool April Nights today. Didn't say "hi" because it looked liked you were already busy enough fielding questions. Awesome truck. Didn't do it justice parked where it was. Hope you had a good time and you'll be coming back next year.
