Man I had no intentions of ever going red on my 65 and seeing this completely changes my outlook on how nice red can look. Of course I have this thread stickied and I have that flat paint site bookmarked.

Simply amazing.

Re: Project Topless 365/24/7

UPS brought me the seats last night thanks to 70cstjr going to pick them up in Indiana.

I brought them over as soon as I got them. Last week I had bought some other seat brackets off of a 94 fullsize that had the taller buckets on them. I was hoping they'd fit my lowback ones and they did, like a glove. Jason's going to cut about 4 inches out of them to bring them down closer to the door.

Here's a picture of them. The driver seat does not have the brackets underneath it, but the passenger side does. Also here is a pic of the door panels he made for me. Mandi, my wife, found some red vinyl at Joann's and Jason covered them this past weekend. I'm going to cover the buckets and bench in the same material. They almost match identically.

Looking really Good. That is funny that you are getting fabric from Joann. I had thought about doing my dash and door panels with fabric as well. I figured it would be a great way to get my daughters involved in the truck. Well lookin good keep up the great work.

Re: Project Topless 365/24/7

yea, my wife was making fun of me when we walked into Joann's. She was asking if I'd ever been inside before. I typically sit outside in the car and make fun of the schmucks who appear to be forced to walk in with their wives.

Re: Project Topless 365/24/7

Honestly, when you started this thread I was thinking this is not a ride I would like at all. But after checking back in on it I really really like this blazer. Very nice job.

When I joined this board I was pretty set in my truck tastes. And I still love the stockish look, but because of threads like this one and a bunch of other members excellent build threads its really opened my eyes to what can be done with our trucks.

Congrats to all you guys with the vision to pull this stuff off.

No, they wouldn't work either. I should have just used them from the beginning. My next project will definitely be with real oem parts.

Re: Project Topless 365/24/7

Travis, took about 7/8 of an inch of off of them and they are 1 5/8 inches tall, just like gringo recommended. Still have about an inch before the tire hits the inner fender. Couldn't cut anymore because the bag would rub and really wouldn't want to because I like the small little rake. Had to hack off the bump stop bracket that sits on the control arm.

About coming over....come on, you know my number. Feel free to stop by anytime.

Hey Brian, when you did your struts for the hood what did you use to attach them? Is there a special bolt/ball nut needed to attach the struts?

I got my struts the other day, but didn't think about the attachment nuts until I got home.
