Re: Shawno72's long overdue 68 daily driver build thread
Well since my rear has always had the posi chatter (pop) when it warms up, I decided to take out the rear end and look more closely at the clutches. Hopefully all is well...

Not sure on the black wheels but will ride them for a few days and see if it grows on me.

Re: Shawno72's long overdue 68 daily driver build thread
Oh I'm sure it does and the black is the style, I like the white myself and agree next you need 8" in the rear. The truck does look good though I really like copo caps.

Re: Shawno72's long overdue 68 daily driver build thread
Lookin' good man. I guess I'm in the minority. I like the black wheels. Especially on light color trucks. I do agree about swapping for eight inchers out back.
I say keep 'em black for a while. It'll grow on you. I didn't like black rims until I saw a few with poverty caps on this site. |

Re: Shawno72's long overdue 68 daily driver build thread
Well I already painted my extra set of wheels white, but I will rock the black wheels for a bit and see how they grow. May try some thin rings?

You know I think the black wheels look ok! But you should put the thin white walls out!

Re: Shawno72's long overdue 68 daily driver build thread
Eventhough I do like Black wheels I liked the white wheels on your truck better, especially with the white paint. Now if your truck was Red I would say it would be no contest for the black wheels.

On another note. I need to take this thing down the highway a bit and get the rearend warm and see it the posi popping noise is gone. Posted via Mobile Device
