Well, let's get the gratuitous joke out right off the bat. When you said you were going to do this I was //shocked//... You're really going to town on this -- you can go to the country later (that's a range joke ; ). Tons of progress and a huge accumulation of knowledge. I'll admit that I'm like 90% enthralled and 10% horrified. But Henry Ford said something like "if I gave people what they wanted, I would have just built a faster horse." I will also admit, that each page I turn, I picture that transmission sitting in there without an engine in front of it.. and think how crazy it would be to have a small block powered truck that looked completely stock, just with a barely odd-looking transmission. And that transmission was like a 300 horsepower supercharger. Anyway, I'm muddying the waters - unintentionally, but just letting you know that I'm not only watching, but it has engaged my thinking. Carry on my wayward son.. and while you're at it:

your SBC idea has potential and not too long ago I came across a thread where a lunatic was asking what would happen if we mated that transmotor with an LS, my initial thought was what's your GoFundMe link, ha ha

anywho one more month(ish) of dreaded winter here in Nor Cal and I'll be de ICEing the truck as the cool kids say

ICE = Internal Combustion Engine

so got the lugulators and I must say they pass the feel solid and hefty in the palm of your hand test and not light as pot metal, you know what I'm sayin'

can't wait to put them on and back the truck out of the secret facility code name "Mamas House"

Fun Fact: did you know tow truckers won't tow your vehicle with anything less than three lugs per wheel? ask me how I know

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

got a chance to clean the garage and here's a peak at the two 2018 BMW 530e high voltage battery packs and the 2010 Lexus GS450h transmission sitting waiting to go in to the truck, hopefully as early as next month (again the only hold up is me getting the '54 outta there

the two battery packs equate to the electric only range of the Chevy Volt (18 kW) as a reference the original Nissan Leaf had the 24 kW capacity, I think of the killa watts as fuel tank size.

March Madness baby !

Nice circuit lug nuts. Even your purely mechanical parts are named after electrical parts.

should I use a Chevy Volt battery charger and the DC-DC converter and keep it in the bowtie family?

Ok, I bit! Subscribed to YouTube and posting to this build. I am not a fan but do realize they can be powerful power plants. I don't know enough about them but will be learning here.

Also, we need to increase your vocabulary, Rusty, Busty and Dusty? How about Larry, Curly and Mo for the next three.
