Re: how about some pics of 60-66 long beds

Here's my "new" 65 C10.
Rescued it from a kid with a case of flat black paint.
He stopped after ruining 50 years of Patina on the rear and most of the left side.
Now removing his paint handiwork, and sorting out the other "improvements" he made.

Glad you caught him before he did the whole truck.

My first post to the forum, thought I would show off my find. Here's my 64 brought from the fields of Wisconsin to Minneapolis. This forum has already been a great help!

Smile Re: how about some pics of 60-66 long beds

This is my new ride. I sold my 1966 3/4 ton long bed for this 1964 my Aunt and Uncle bought brand new.

The front piece behind the grill was donated from the 1966 to the 1964. The original was badly damaged and did not allow the hood to latch properly. Flew up on a few occasions driving in town.

I try to fix what I can inexpensively. Floor mats are from Walmart and will require purchasing two to cover the whole floor but the console will hide the split. The console also allows keeping the dash in original shape instead of cutting it up to put the radio in and gives me a place for my drink so I can shift easier.

Was repainted once not that you could tell now. Great to have a vehicle that I can do most of the work on.
