Re: Vintage picture thread
Here are a few of my truck in it's earlier days. I'd like to take it back to more of that original condition
This is a '67 we had for a little while. Sold her to a guy from Northern MI. He road a bus down and took a cab to our house and drove it home. This '62 is what my Dad traded + $2000 for my '71. |

Re: Vintage picture thread
I love these pictures as it reminds me of how keeping things simple was better than all the new(supposed to be better) things we have today. Everything now is built with a service life mentality instead of back then being built to be repaired and last forever.

Re: Vintage picture thread
Things today are engineered to withstand a specified numbers of years before wearing/breaking down. We are that advanced. I'll keep my truck thanks.

Here is one from 20 something years ago before I had the repaint,if you look close you can see the extra marker lights, camper wiring plug, cowl shock mounts, fuel filler relocated and different mirrors. I was still running the Kelsey Hays 9.75 x 16.5 steelies.

Here is one of me and my sister with my dad's 69 in it, it had a 307 with a 3 on the tree, it was the first vehicle i drove, i was 8 and it was loaded with firewood, i wasnt tall enough to change gears without it grinding but i got it done, my dad was sitting over there smiling, is one of my best memories. then when i was around 12 or so he sold it. man im still sad about it today.

My dad bought a 72 custom deluxe 10 lwb fleet new that was also dark green with a white top, 307 auto, ps pb coil rear no Ac. It was his daily driver but also pulled our bass boat on weekends. In 77 or so one of my older brothers talked him into trading it on a 73 or 74 black with red interior Cheyenne super 10 with a 454 auto loaded, leaf rear. It ran like he'll but obviously drank gas and was not as good of a truck overall as the 72 and didn't ride as well. I will see if I can find photos next time I go back home.
