Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
Hey Juan,
Any chance of getting some pic's of the Scott's tank you mentioned in one of the other threads? I'm very interested in doing the same thing with my burb, but wanted to see how you had it setup after shortening the filler neck and all. Thanks, as always!!!

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
He clt the tank hangs down 5 inches below the frame in "prebuilt" form. Justin said he can weld the mounting tabs higher or lower on the tank to clear your specs. I'll post a pic of the tank as soon as I can.

Pulled the frame out to clean it up and paint it. Also going to run my air lines and brake lines while I'm at it. Posted via Mobile Device

I'm trying to gather the nerve to separate my body from the frame. Difficult? Tricks or tips you can give us?

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
It wasn't bad really. Me and a buddy did it in about 45 min. The pita part is the rear body mounts that love to spin in the wood. If you have not notched the rear yet you'll be good. I had to lift the body up sooo high to get the frame notches to clear the floor board.
Go for it man. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
Cool. She's not notched (yet), but she will be by the time the frame rolls back under. I'll definitely need to compensate for the height difference. Thanks, as always!

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
Well finally got power out at the new shop. Got all of the electrical finished. I'm waiting on a new electric start motor for my air compressor. Still have some exterior trim to go up on shop as well. Very stoked. Got my new bridge worked out today. Cut and fitted the pieces in. Ill weld them in tonight when everyone goes to sleep, ill go play. What do you think of the bag plates? Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
Ok got the rear susp all done. I started cleaning and prepping the frame for a good coat of paint. Then it's time to run brake lines, gas lines and I'm going to give the SS air lines a try. From what I've read the ss lines grab and hold on in the air fittings really good. Hoping to roll it out is the shop this weekend and power wash it all down and start painting it. I'm so ready to be done with this part of the build.
I need a picture to see what the rear of the frame is sup to look like. I removed the hitch the PO had put in there and need to see the rear most section of the frame and the bumper brackets. If you have some pics feel free to post them up. Thanks Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!
All painted. I hope to start running lines next week. She rolled out of the garage for a good scrub down today. Then drip dry while I cleaned the shop up. The milk crates worked out good to get it off the ground so I could clean it all up. Thinking of what coating to do on the underside of the Burb? Should it be done before frame goes back under it?
