Re: 1964 gmc 1000

it was scrapptacular monday this week heres some pics of what i got mondy and today i made one run took 1 hour and 30 min of drive time to got 4 more tvs and another 90's big screen.

big screens broken down to the go good stuff.

the tubes off the lens these lens are cooled by oil.

a tube basicly a mini tv from the 80-90's

a tube and the coil witch is where the copper is.

the lenes and the cast aluminium oil cooling unit.

cooling unit.

about 22 23 pounds this still needs to be broken down to just copper so possibly 9-10 pounds of copper in there (scale reads 1 pound per 10 on scale)

trash right? not yet!

not till that 18 pound transformer is out of it!

the mower from the old dude

Re: 1964 gmc 1000

for some reason i always get a laugh out of how much people dislike something about my truck like the gas tank that thing sets anger off in people and i just love it LOL.

this pic just reminded me of a time when my ex had a friend over and i started my truck while i was working on it in the garage and her fiend is all wow its so ugly i didnt even think it ran... hahaha

Now this got my attention......

I could just imagine it restored and in a new metalflake coat with polished ally bits and a chrome exhaust.

Re: 1964 gmc 1000

still hoodless but making progress on the hood

finely getting this side built up this was the side with the dents from crashing into the house when i was moving the truck without breaks no wonder i hit my house so much lol...

and i know i'm probably just smoking something but i swear the truck is faster and runs better without the 200 pound hood lol! I love the view it gives you to you can see for miles down there without the hood in the way.

Re: 1964 gmc 1000

so the radiator in the 64 finely kicked the bucket had to cut out the radiator support to get the 1960's radiator to fit i also had to remove the fan and add an electric fan.

this will just be temp till i can get a hold of another radiator.

vw hood handle.

org mirror arm.

and my latest idea i have noticed the truck dose respond better with the hood off deciding it was because it could get fresh cold air so this is a 1960 heater box im going to make into a fresh air intake almost got it all mounted up.

Those picture with the hood on look good. Could you put a picture of the hood before work and after being worked or as of now.
