Re: Project N2Deep
Hey 67cheby- just to let you know that silver paint will show any flaws in the body work, paint and the gaps. I know your doing the body work now, so just keep that in mind (you can't get away with anything with this color)!

Re: Project N2Deep
is that the issue with your roof ? mine is still in bare metal they just finished getting all of the gaps welded up and hopefully will start the body work on the cab and front as soon as we finish my neverending front inner fenders !! my other concern is getting a silver as bright as i want, did your color come out like you wanted ?? i want mine to look like this pic, you can delete this so it doesnt stay on your page just showing you what i would like it to looks

Re: Project N2Deep
Seems he gave up on the inner cab roof (says he thought I was going to do a full headliner). No my gaps look pretty good (just need to adj some things). I just wanted to give you a heads up as the contrast between the light silver color and the body line is extreme. And you see everything like it is (no dark colors to swallow up the lines).
The pic you posted looks like the Benz or "Orion" color (my 2nd choices on color) I'm real happy with the Lincoln siver (little darker). I knew I wasn't going to have any chrome on this one (just a little billet) so I didn't want to go too bright. I think it's closer to the "cortez" color. Anyways, good luck with your color choice, I know I worried about it for awhile. The best thing I did was look at real cars (not pics) to make my decision . Re: Project N2Deep
Looks awesome......
I typically don't like silver on these trucks becuse its hard to pull off cleanly but that turned out sick!!

Re: Project N2Deep
If you read back a few pages the color was my biggest concern. Then you have to mix in the chrome and stuff. Like I said I was going for the simplicity of the Sport Trucks by Dean's black truck. I copied almost everything on that truck & added a few things. I don't think I would change a thing (except add some Porterbuilt flavor, but he wasn't around when I started this money pit). When I started this truck everything was cutting edge, but now not so much.

Re: Project N2Deep
Well I have my 55 Belair, 67 CST SWB, 72 SWB Super 4x4 and the project truck. I want a 69 RS camaro and do a full pro touring (Detroit Speed) on it. So what do I keep & what do I sell?

Re: Project N2Deep
Don't you have a Porterbuilt set-up & doesn't that mean you have to go big (bigger than my set-up) or go home. My vista's are the original type wheels from Intro and I think their first soft lip style (7-8 yrs old). You don't want my junk!
