Hopefully not, but I didn't do any of the welding on my previous truck. It was stored in my brothers garage and he's a welder by trade so I had him do the welding. This project is in my garage so now I'm doing all the welding and fabrication, but I've been practicing so I'm confident I can get it done.

I would, but if you notice in the second picture my cab floor looks like the Flintstone mobile. I have to at least fix the cab floor. I definitely don't plan on painting it, that was the mistake I made on my last project and why I had 5 years invested without ever driving it. All I plan on doing is trying to match the Red and white patina/faded paint that is already there. The roof has great patina and I don't want to mess with that.

Thanks guys, if the weather is nice this weekend, I'll throw the passenger door and fender on and maybe push her outside for some better pictures before tearing her back apart to fix the cab

I agree with Gringo.. Just fix the rust issue that are pressing throw the sheetmetal on and have fun..

I wish I had patina or banged up paint. I'm too worried about the paint on my truck right now.

I saved a picture of the truck as the background on my work computer so I can stare at it and wish I was home working on it ;lol:

I've resisted going the IG only route because I still enjoy this forum and what it has to offer. I like interacting with you guys on here as well as IG.

That is the plan, just fix what has to be fixed and put it on the road. I know your worried about your paint but man does it look good.

Got the passenger side door and fender mounted up along with the grill and cowl today. Then I threw the hood on and pushed her outside for some pics before I take it all back apart

It's only scary when you first start sanding, after that, it's actually kinda fun. Best part is parking wherever the 'F' you want and not worrying about it

All kidding aside, your truck is beautiful. Redemption is gonna be a different kind of beauty

Thanks Chris, I'm hoping she turns out pretty nice. Funny story, my girlfriend's 3 year old told me yesterday that it looks dirty Guess he doesn't understand the Patina/old paint thing yet, but he will
