Good to hear from ya! It's been a while. She made a great choice on the wheels, IMO. Sounds like she's a very bright young lady as well.

You raised her right. You should be proud. That truck looks so good with the hubcaps and trim rings.

Re: My Daughters First Truck

This is Darrah. Just sharing some pictures I have that dad doesn't.
One is from my senior prom, one from a veteran's car show, one is of the blanket I got a while back in Mexico for my truck, and one of mine and my dad's truck at the drag strip.

Thanks for sharing. The one from prom will no doubt be a special memory, & the blanket from Mexico looks like a perfect match! Hope you're enjoying the ole truck.

Re: My Daughters First Truck

Darrah, thanks for sharing the pictures and keep enjoying your truck! The blanket is a nice touch too. I hope I can build something together with my daughters like you and your father have done here. It is awesome to see a young lady into old trucks and enjoying them too!

Re: My Daughters First Truck

How's everyone doing? I know it's been a while. here's a little update. Darrah has graduated from college. She is working in the orthotics and prosthetics field and loving it. She has moved out on her own. (still close enough if she needs Dad). She decided to move on up from the 6 cylinder. So we bought a 327 and had it rebuilt. other than that life is moving on. God has blessed us beyond what we deserve. Below are some install pictures and one of my 29 sedan.

Re: My Daughters First Truck

I just read through the entire thread. Great job on the truck to both of y'all!
I've been working on my 63 since I was 17 back in 2015 with my dad. It's been a great learning experience about cars and life in general. Definitely something I will always cherish and one of the main reasons I'll never be able to sell my truck.

Congrats, Darrah, on graduating! I know that's a good feeling after several years of hard work
