Re: 72 k20 project
are you looking to bag the rear, or just link it? if its a coil rear 2wd to start with, the bag mounts i have drawn probably wont work with the frame. otherwise i think itll be fine as long as you are not shooting for 2495" of lift. this should sit close to level or a touch high in the rear at ~ the same height as my 4" front springs

Re: 72 k20 project
By the looks of that cross member, it looks like coil to me.

Re: 72 k20 project
I'm pretty sure it is. I want to say i have seen trailing arms under it.
I haven't read up much on the 4wd swap. I didn't know the coil trucks were unliked for the swap |

Re: 72 k20 project
What is that you have on welded on the old-no-longer-needed spring hanger? is that for reinforcement or repair?

Re: 72 k20 project
Nope. i think it is close to what i would expect the 4" to be. it was really high in the rear with the springs. its still a little ass high, but not so much.

Great work. This is going to be a killer set up when you're done.

Re: 72 k20 project
So, i didnt do much this weekend, i was being lazy and had some glacier sized ice to chip off my sidewalk since it was warm too.
anyhow i did do this i also looked at a tranny i am going to pick up tomorrow. a 98.5+ NV4500. it works but i am treating it as a core. so, i think, i am going with the manual now.... Ryan |
