Re: "G&S project"
Went out to pick up some bondo today. No one had Evercoat in stock. Had to have it ordered. At one of the part stores, they were pushing their 3M bondo. You know, the $20-ish gallon bs. been there, done that. So waiting on bondo to get here tomorrow. Start smoothing out the tailgate then, and filling a couple places where that cheap a$$ 3M wallyworld autozoon bs cracked.

Re: "G&S project"
Just been taking care of business healthwise. Thanks for asking. The piece I cut up is actually going to be to block in the back fender well. Got one cut, need to trim a little. I'll get some pics up then so you can tell me what you think.

Re: "G&S project"
Took the pieces from the bbq grill. inserted them as a sort of mudflap in the rear fender wells. cost to do this: time, lol. Got the tailgate reworked and finished also.

Re: "G&S project"
got her back in black. boy, that black shows EVERY little blemish. I think I'll stay with darker colors from here on out. with the white surfacer primer, it looked fine. thanks for reading.

Well I is one (redneck) lol. Yes, the inner fenders are cool... especially the cost. I was looking on Craigslist. Saw a dually bed that had something similar on them. Last edited by nbpro; 03-20-2011 at 11:42 AM. |

If you're talking about the paint, it's spray bombed, then I took a Scotch Brite pad and went over it all to get rid of the overspray and the blotches that I always seem to get when using spray cans lol. But the Scotch Brite pad smooths it out pretty well. Just sand everything out in one direction. Think we're gonna leave it like this for a while until I get my paint booth situation figured out. And that way if there's anything else I decide to do, it won't affect the paint. Thinking about frenching the two front turn signals. |
