this was my high school auto shop project started out as a 64 chevy k10 4x4 which i had traded my racing lawnmower for now its a 62 gmc k10 the body i got for 75 bucks they chopped the back of the cab off of the 64 to put a camper on thats when i bought the 62 gmc 2wd for 75$ and yes i can fit 35's with no lift

Its a very nice pickup, but why does the rear bumper stick out so far like that?

Good eye argonaut, I never noticed that. It could be crappy reproduction bumper mounting brackets made in China? There is nothing like using OEM or finding NOS parts when restoring a classic truck or car.

I saved the truck from the crushers the guy said the motor was locked up I gave him 300 for it brought it home fixed the starter new points and it fired right up it has 59,000 on it can't wait to finish it

Man, 300 bux what a deal on a great looking truck. I paid 500 for mine and I thought it was a steal. Can't wait to see a build thread on it.

love this thread! love to see all the trucks out there!

well I painted my Mudhoney this summer. here's what she looks like now...

next additions hopefully before May 2013 will be custom made tube bumpers front and back with front winch and a cabling setup to allow for rear winching from the front, as well as rock sliders welded to frame...

so is my 1964 k10 with a 62 body on it still considered a stock truck? and will 1963 dumptruck fenders bolt up with no modification to my truck.the truck im refeering to is the one i poted on page 18
