Thanks! I've owned it for almost 4 years now. It spent it's whole life in Fresno before I bought it and brought it to SoCal. Sat on it for about 3 ½ years before getting the nerve to do some work to it.

Still trying to figure out what's original on it and what's not. I know it's not the original engine block, exhaust setup, hubs, etc. I'm a complete newb with doing auto work, so I'm taking it slowly and learning a lot by reading here. Some of you amaze me with how skilled you are with this stuff.

And my top's interior color is also same as rest of the Blazer, as some have mentioned before.

Next project is body/frame bushings. I'm a tad nervous since I looked and my bolts are all welded on like they were expecting a hurricane. Guy at the factory must have been angry at bolts that day or something.

If you can post up a thread dedicated to your Blazer and we can collectively figure out what’s what. That’s fun stuff.

Maybe one rpo is for the top and the other is for white color

My 69 SPID has both CB8 - Removable Hard Top, and Z58 - Auxiliary Top - White.

Not sure if that helps at all.

Interesting because the dealer data book doesn’t have CB8 listed at all but Z58 is listed. Post up a SPID pic if possible.

This is probably one of the most illegible Spid's i have seen in awhile. So far, i have been able to figure out the majority of the items listed on it.

AS3 - Rear Seat Equipment
F76 - Front Wheel Lock Hub
U29 - Courtesy Light
T53?? - Ammeter - Oil Gauge ??
507 - Light Blue
AN3 - Auxiliary Front Seat
CB8 - Removable Hard Top
M?? - ??
V38 - Painted Rear Bumper
Z58 - Auxiliary Top - White
4606HD?? - Blue ??

Is it normal for the spid to list the removable hard top twice? (CB8 & Z58) If anyone can help me decipher the things i have been unable to figure out yet, that would be great!
Here it is. Not super legible.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?

Yes I remember it now. I’m stumped as to why there would be two rpo’s referencing the top.

This would be my guess as well.

Were the tops also offered in Black?

If so, those vehicles would get the RPO for the removeable top and the RPO for the black color.

Hi Keith. Yes, black tops had a specific RPO. The RPOs denote the removable top in either white or black. As such, the CB8 RPO is redundant. I've not looked back though all the 69 SPIDs here to see if additional examples are present. Those I looked at didn't list CB8. The thought of an earlier build crossed my mind as the SPIDs were getting sorted out perhaps.

Ochre with a black top and a green interior. Sadly there’s no interior pic as the original interior was changed.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?

The 6-lug 16.5” wheels have no accommodations for hubcaps and we’re sold with just bare white steel wheels.

The 16.5" wheels look great. Not too big and not too small.

Thanks!

I think they look good with the white top but I doubt that I would like them with my black on black.

I bet white steel wheels with PO3 caps would look awesome.
