Noticed your wifes hat in the pic. Is she a Chargers fan? If so, too cool. I'm as well.

I'm IN!

Thanks Tat2Don!

Hey Mark, yes cow hide riser and I am working on a cow hide shift boot as I'm typing this hehehe.

She is a native SanDieagan 619 and very deep rooted beach girl/TBK/Clairemonster Die hard Charger fan and sporting a Bolt tattoo. She was top of her class of 12 shooting 25 yards with a colt 9mm side arm ( drive by style). Don't let the pretty hair and the 5'3" frame fool you. I would rather be trapped in an alley with a 7 foot 300 pounder than this girl.

Thanks for the props guys!

Enjoy that Mossburg McMurphey. pistol grip that 18" and go practice!
I am leaving it set up with the shoulder stock for now, the skeet range on post has a -40 below club, so as soon as the temps dip that low, I am going to go get my certificate.
Haven't shot skeet in a couple years now...

I do very much like that rifle pouch in the seat though....
You are giving me ideas, and we all know how dangerous that can get

Re: Crossing over, the 65 rebuild.

I have always warned others not to use aftermarket modules in HEI dizzys and knew this truck had one installed by the previous owner. I bought a GM one and have always intended on tossing it in theglove box. I type this 50 miles from my desk and waiting for AAA.

I also have the click.....click.....click---varooom for about a month, but if I shut down the air compressor, lights and blower fan to get as much voltage to the starter on first try it usually works.

Looks like I will be filling the "what did you do to your truck today " thread will all sorts of procrastination tomorrow.

Re: Crossing over, the 65 rebuild.

GRRRR. new mini starter installed--1 pole solenoid. New GM HEI module installed and found bulkhead connector melted. When I insert the melted wire back into the connector, it start no crank when the key is in the "run" position and stays trying to start. Knee deep in confusion at this point.

Re: Crossing over, the 65 rebuild.

Swaped in a module, tested the pickup coil, found the ground bar under the coil bad. Replaced it and reinstaled dizzy. Still nothing. Eleiminated the other wires from the starter and left just the purple. Now starter starts like its supposed to. Bypassed bulkhead connector to test and set up engine on #1 TDC. Stabbed the dizzy for the 4th time and fired up and idled. Weird. Runs good, no smoke so I re wired everything from the bulkhead connector ( only 3 wires) and powered up the choke and 700r4 from ignition 12v. Cleaned it all up , drove into town and now waiting for my chicken fried steak to show up ?0

Too bad, I had the wife with me, we had to drop the car at the dealers. Wiring is my specialty though, I love problems.
