Well, spent an hour at the garage tonight...took the other two 5 lug rollers so when I get the front end in they're there...Picked up my front rally rims with the drums and spindles still in them. Got to get all that stuff sold soon to make space.
Got one side trailing arm bracket off, put in the 6" 2x4 to space it out 1 1/2" and drilled out the holes/bolted it up. Got the rivets mostly off the other side but it got too late to run the air chisel so I will finish tomorrow. Then I will be able to mock it up and figure out the exact size I need to center the rear. Got ready to take pictures but my batteries were dead in the camera. I'll catch up with pictures tomorrow. Spent about 10 minutes re-tightening bolts that fell off. All the vibration of the air chisel made several nuts come off so I had nuts and washers all over the shop floor. I am planning on loctite for all of bolts anyways. None of these bolts had been tightened...they were the ones for the shock brackets and adjustable panhard bar.

Worked on the truck for a few more hours this afternoon. Spent the majority of the time finishing up the removal of the trailing arm mounts and then installing, uninstalling, flipping, spacing, etc. on the mounts. Ended up deciding that 1/2" stock will work great to center the wheels back to where they need to be to be centered in the rear wheelwells.
1 1/2" "Custom" spacers-(2x4's) The trailing arms needed an inch and a half to be centered in the rear so I started with these...then moved to two scraps of 1/2" stock before putting in 1 piece of 1/2" stock and realizing the geometry made these the perfect fit This will all get cleaned up some more and painted before I final assembly back here

This is where it was with the 1 1/2" of spacing...too far back...
When finished...with the 1/2" spacers installed, you can see that the rear is centered nicely in the notch and the rear sits down all the way onto the bumpstops inside the C-notch. Temporary spacers...I will get a piece made the width of the trailing arm mounts and drill out the 6 holes in it.

Then I worked on the compressors for a few minutes. Got the brackets switched over. Had to grind them down slightly so that they would fit mounted on the side. This will allow me to mount them in the best possible position (vertically) without having to build a custom bracket for it. They will mount directly to the frame like in the last picture.
The way the mounts come from the factory New postion of the mounts Mounting location....this will allow the top of the compressor to fit up in the void between the bed cross sills. The leader hose will end up going directly into the air tank with just a fitting installed into the tank.

The easy off worked well on the tranny...but it still will need one more go at it and then I will clean it off really good and smooth it out a little before paint.
Also took a few minutes to make a list of needed bolts to finish up the airbags and frame/suspension. Got mostly everything I need now. Installed the upper bag brakcets mounted losely until I get my final airbag fittings and then I will put the lock washers on and loctite them. (no pictures of that) Also got the lower bag brackets bolted on losely as well. One of the holes needs a little work to get the last bolt in. I'll tackle that the next time I'm over there. Here's how the frame sits right now with the rear on the bumpstops...

Ahh, my misunderstanding. The pics & info focused more on the rear so I thought you had possibly used brackets for the rear as well. I've been looking for more pics of rear brackets for when people inquire about them.

i once used a piece of 2x4 for a spacer on a riding lawn mower! i drilled a 2.5" hole in the middle and used it for a carburetor spacer. the carburetor came off a bigger engine. i got more power and it never leaked! looked funny though. damn red neck i know... ha ha 2x4's are like duct tape... thousands of uses! ha ha ha

Spent a little time working on the truck this afternoon. Mainly grinding on the welds. Started off with a carbide bit on a dremel-type tool. Got the high spots down and is great for the tight areas. Finished up the larger/flat areas with the 40 grit disc on the grinder.
Before: After Back of rocker to door seam....would you fill this more to totally smooth it? I know the factory didn't but I'm not sure..... Finished cleaning around the latch area to prep those areas for welding in patch panels.
