Re: Die-cast 67-72

Picked up this one yesterday in St Louis at the local Gordman's (a home accent store). I was glad the wife wanted to stop in there... It's a Johnny Lightning, Working Class Trucks & SUVs, 1965 Chevy Pickup Fleetside 3. Sorry for the pic...

Tim you are so right putting slots on the Dazed and Confused truck. I've been saying that since it came out that that is what it should have had (like the movie truck). What were they thinking with those cheesy wheels????
Heres my latest..its a promo for step vans...I thought it was cool ...and a little different.

It is cast... kind of like a big tootsietoy.
No year on it but it must be old because it says "Made in USA"

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Well I found these at Wally World this past week in Garden City SC while at the beach. I haven't found a green one yet but...

This was my son's Cub Scout car we built. He found it this week at the beach. I don't know how it ended up there. I know it's not Die cast but it's cool to me & him! We came in second with it.

Just a shot of the cabnet in my bedroom with some opened stuff.

Andy, what are those two on the front left in the last picture? Red with tailgate lettering and look a little bigger than 1/64 scale.

That is a Hallmark delcration for the tree I got and repainted. It's only one the cabnet has mirror's in the back side of it.

Yea that's the one. I did a few mods to it also like the bed cover. If I get time I'll take a better picture of it this weekend. I'm in the middle of tearing a golfcart down right now.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

That`s the 67-72 style.I only have one other of this casting and it has a GMC grille.I think this one has a Chevy grille. This one came out in`81. There are later style trucks, too.

Thanks. It was so hard to determine since I could not get a front view.

Also, thanks for the heads-up. After I saw your post, I checked ebay and found one to bid on.

I received my two yesterday. They are great looking trucks.

For those who want one, the ebay prices are not out of line as they were 14.99 a piece from Hot Wheels.

Yeah, cool color. I finally received my correct one today. The seller sent me a 69 Pontiac GTO the first time. He did send money for shipping it back though. There were only 7,631 of the pickup made. They numbered on the back of the package. Mine is 3477/7631.

This website needs to produce a custom tampo limited edition.I always wanted to do one,but couldn`t justify the quantity. This sitr has the power,I think.

Does anyone else collect custom imprinted Hot Wheels?I just won a`53 Chevy Pickup:Lime green w/Rt66 logos, made for a Rt66 celebration in Barstow,CA.I have some from rod runs, advertising, clubs, etc. The 1/24th banks are cool, but Hot Wheels are even cooler`cuz they`re so small.

I agree they need to do a custom logo HOTWHEELS. Maybe even a DUB CITY TRUCK 1/24th scale.
I did these logo's off the paint on computer then bought some decal paper at Wally World. Printed them out and placed them on it.
