Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

I ordered an air managment kit last week from way2lo2, he's a vender here on the board. I got super fast shipping and a great deal. Just thought I'd share my experience with him & give him some board feeback. I've also been checking out his rides for sale on EBay. He's selling some nice GM trucks & cars. Here's a link to a new one for sale.

Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

I got my doors hung and painted. Feels good to have all the big tin mounted. I still have to do the wet sanding. Just thought I'd share.

Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

Thanks guy's, it's getting there. I'm out in the garage at 2130 painting the roof and spear off white. I told my hen in the beginning. It would look better w/the white. She came home from work today and seen it with the doors on and said, you know white would look better than just solid blue...friggin women!

All you have to do is take a big breath and make her feel like it was her idea all along. They love that. Looks really cool. Almost wish I had done mine this way. I might have been on the road a year ago!

Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

Here she is with the white spear and cab paint. I still have to wet sand the doors and white areas. Don't pay attention to the over spray on the side galss. We're gonna switch over to a 1 peice.

Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

Google Earth caught me. A few months ago I was working on the 59 when the Google Earth car drove by. I didn't have time to do anything cool. I was caught smoking and not working! Somehow they turned my Tacoma into a hotrod with a nice rake. Looks like 40's in the rear and 35's up front.

Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

Hey guy's, I'm at the point where I'm getting my headlights wired up. Which ones are the high lights? The outboard or inboard lights? Yeah, yeah...I'm the dummy who didn't mark them during disassembly

For most vehicles it is the inside lights (well all 4), so I assume it is the same on yours.

Re: SGTUSMC '59 build

Outside are low beams, inside + outside high. Take a look at running relays to get more power for brighter lights. Lots of diagrams online for doing it.
