Well I got enough bugs worked out, and enough parts bolted back on to start driving the truck again, so I thought I'd post some pics for everyone to see. 3/5" drop in front with a 5" drop in the rear.

Chevys in Colorado
I have had my '96 since new, and purchased my '85 project in January.

Here's some pics of my 68 stepper. GMGoodwrench 350, TH350, 3.07 rear gear, Holley carb, Edelbrock intake, Lokar floor shifter.
The white 76 is a coworkers truck. He's undercoating the rear bed sides hoping to slow the rusting process.

1979 Unrestored Original
I bought this truck about 2 years ago with 8,600 miles. At first I thought the add in the paper was a misprint. It's certainly nothing special but it is un-molested. Spare has never even been out, ash tray never had a cigarette, etc.
Air cleaner element and battery are the only things not original under the hood. I know the tires got to go, but they are 26 years old. I'm currently preparing a set of ralley wheels for it. Last edited by geunther; 04-27-2005 at 12:30 AM. |

Has 5/7 drop, powered by 350 cu. in with hyd. roller cam, vortec heads, MSD ignition, edelbrock intake, hooker headers, Demon 650 mech. carb., turbo 350 trans. w/ shift kit, 3000 stall converter, 3:73 w/ Auburn posi. Best 1/4 mi time to date 13:37 @ 100 mph with drag radials. As you can see I spend more time working on my truck than I do landscaping.
