Last night Tom was working on his 65 Chevy Truck, trying to get it finished and he died of carbon monoxide poisoning. We are all devastated here at the shop. His family is beside themselves with grief. Thats really sad. Just an idea, but i wonder if we could do a sort of raffle for the truck he was trying to sell. Maybe it would raise more money for his family.

Thank you all for your condolences. If you are in the Escondido, Ca area on Saturday the 15th of December, and would like to attend the Memorial service, it is going to be held at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, 225 South Broadway, Escondido California 92025. The phone number is 760-745-2162. The viewing is from 2 to 3 and services begin at 3pm.

I ironically PM him about 3 or 4 weeks ago to see if the crew was still for sale or not but never heard back.

He told me that someone was interested in the project. The Monday before he had moved the truck to the center of the shop and had started working on the rear axle four link setup. He wanted to make it a rolling project. The truck is currently sitting on a chassis dolly. I guess who ever buys it can have the dolly as well.

I am still in shock...as when I read it the first time! I only met Tom once and conversed with him via PM and phone a few times...as he came up to pick up a roof to help with the crew cab project. Genuinely nice guy and true gear head...trucks and cars!
I am incredibly sorry for your loss to his family and friends...as I am sure all of the forum members here who were able to meet and or talk with him or just enjoyed this build thread.
