damn straight. I had a fence I kept my 65 behind on the side of the house, but if we ever needed to move anything big into the back yard I had to push the truck out. bam, every time, compliance officer would leave a note. no idea who was calling. when I finally took it to a shop I happened to come home that day for lunch and he was looking over the fence from my neighbors yard telling her "well its not here now". I couldnt believe it was her the whole time, I told the compliance officer the next time he stuck his head over my privacy fence, even with her permission, he was going to pull back a stump.

So guys we need a quick answer here I have two aluminum radiators and the larger of the two being out of a 800 series 1/2 ton truck is massive to wide and sits on my frame rails I am fully confident it will cool the motor but I'm worried I will break it if I actually use it long term and send coolant everywhere

The other I believe is out of a Ford Taurus or free star can with a V6 that is much smaller fits better but I'm very concerned in its cooling abilities

You guys know what I need can the small one do it should I risk the big one or find something else all together?

I'm sure the small one will cool it unless your on the gas a lot. My rad I had made is about half the size the original cube van had and it works good.

Go to where the ticket came from and file an appeal.

Ask for the name of the person that accused you, ask for a hearing date.

Try to use the system to get legal reasons to buy time.

Get a copy of the regulations and study them to find a legal reason to stop the process

If possible move the truck into the garage out of site.

Take the tires and rims off making it had to tow.

I know in a decent world this should not happen, unfortunately there are knotheads that enjoy causing others gas.

so when I got my steering shaft from the 95 jeep Cherokee to correct steering angle and get rid of the ever sloppy rag joint I found that there was a spline change so the new intermediate shaft doesn't fit my old gear so I have been trying to figure out what gear to use in place or if I can get a shaft adapter and lone behold I find A body guys swapping the 92-98 gear box into their cars (the mounting is the same for the X body I have) so I was inches from having everything I need hahaha a Saturday junk yard run is in order then

The hardest part from there is getting line adapters to make the lines I already have fit the metric gear

Saturday morning I went out to the pick and pull and got a box out of the same jeep which had what appeared to be a low mile gear judging by how little rust and grime was on it but who knows

Its a Saginaw 800 box with the metric style spline other then that the bolt pattern and pitman arm spline is the same plus it has the same steering ratio as the SS Monte Carlo that was so coveted back in the day of 12.7:1 which equals 2 wheel turns lock to lock

My gear reduction starter is in from feebay and it looks NICE woot woot

Got the steering gear mounted by one bolt as the nova frames thicker in two locations then the jeep frame was no biggie just a hardware store run

Also got my rear tires mounted and road force balanced for FREEEEEEE who doesn't like free?

last night I took my damper off to install the timing indicator got the spark plugs in except #1 to find TDC and stab the distributor tonight

Also found an upper and lower hose to use for my radiator and a belt to run my water pump and alternator for brake in

there is your report maker! that is a common trick of realtors, they call compliance when they have a house for sale so the neighborhood is cleaned up. you should get your compliance issue squared away then find out when they are having an open house. sit on your front lawn in a too-tight tank top in a kiddie pool drinking beer the entire open house. make sure and burp loudly and keep the empties floating in the pool with you.

I got nothing done tonight went to put my starter on shimed it the bendix looks good and the starter motor wire from the solenoid is hitting my header so I got a screwdriver to pry it away with thinking it would be a quality thick copper cable and hold its new position and snap it broke off the lug not sure if I can crimp an eyelit terminal onto the wire and slap it on the lug and have the terminal last or if I should just contact skip white really disappointed there then I go to pull the pitman arm off and my pitman arm puller I borrowed from a friend s jaws pulled apart to where it wont even pull on the arm anymore

We also got the call from the city today the guy was later then expected in calling us but he will be here tomorrow evening to inspect whatever happens happens I guess maybe if they take it my stress level will go down and I won't have a heart attack at the age of 21

Those starters should be made to "clock" on that face plate.... loosen the face screws and rotate it to where it needs to be away for the engine or header.

So you have to make this thing run for the city guy to see? or it just has to move someplace else? Move it to the other side of the driveway!!!

I contacted skip white they said it can simply be re soldered and that it clearly was soldered poorly they apologized and yada yada yada annoying but whatever

The truck needs to run not drive or anything but my cooling system and the starter/ignition system need done yesterday so not sure I haven't even done break in yet either hopefully he gets caught up at another appointment and has to reschedule

From what I can see in the pics looking at the gear face... there are 3 holes on the right. if you pull the bolt out of there the motor should rotate up and down within those 3 holes to rotate it on the alum face plate. I have a starter something like that too, its a Powermaster Mini starter.

Directions from them;


Clockable starters. Some Powermaster starters are clockable meaning that the starter motor can be rotated in relation to the mounting block.
Currently this includes part numbers 9000, 9004, 3500, 9102, 9132, 9142, and 9152. Simply remove the socket cap bolts securing the mounting
block to the front of the starter and rotate it to another setting. Powermaster starters 9000, 9004, and 3500 are made to mount on either side of the
engine. Owners of DART and other high performance engines can take advantage of this by mounting the starter on the driver side.

Just make sure you keep is all sandwiched together when you rotate it else the brushes can pop out.

Been a long 4 days guys inspector showed up but we relocated the truck to the garage so it was not available for evaluation as it was in the garage

Had the Nova in running order which is running GREAT it pushes you down and keeps you there when you floor it plus the added spec of front brakes and quality suspension that actually work gives us piece of mind much better then the one sticky caliper and worn out springs from before

Friday night and saturday morning I built my step dads big block for him without telling him while he was camping that was a good surprise for him

As for truck progress we have the cooling system loosely mounted in I need to put a 3/4in plate under the trans mount to level the motor and trans in the bay so the fan gets away from the radiator, got motor mounted for good, oil in, ignition system done except the #1 terminal back to ign switch keyed hot trans cooler lines are almost done and 2 gallons of fluid have already been added other then that we are needing to do the exhaust and give it some gas
